overview Kimberly S. West has been named Director of Advancement for The University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business. West previously served as the Director of Development for the Washington, D.C.-based Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options. West’s tenure in D.C. included a six-year appointment with the Council on Competitiveness, a nonprofit, nonpartisan association of leaders who convene to advance U.S. economic competitiveness. She brings with her a varied background of fundraising, conference planning, member and board relations, project management and public affairs. West received her master’s degree in international affairs from The George Washington University Elliott School, which she attended under a fellowship from the High Twelve International. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences interdisciplinary and psychology, and additional concentrations in Spanish and international business.
